We are always accepting applications for partner families and individuals at SUN Habitat for Humanity.
You may qualify!
Our Family Selection Committee looks at three factors when choosing families or individuals for participation in our program:
1. Willingness To Partner With Habitat: willingness to complete sweat equity hours, make monthly payments on time, and attend Habitat activities.
2. Ability To Pay The Monthly Mortgage: Monthly expenses must be manageable and family income must meet Habitat income guidelines. The average mortgage payment for a Habitat home is between $450.00 and $600.00 a month. The typical income to qualify for a Habitat home is between $30,000 and $42,000 annually.
3. Need For Better Housing: for example, living in run down conditions or in a dangerous neighborhood or paying too much for rent.
